On September 29, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Hirayama delivered a report on behalf of the Institute for Social Safety Science entitled “Damage Situation and Countermeasures for the R8 Kumamoto Earthquake—Focusing on Water in Emergency” at the R8 Kumamoto Earthquake Two-Month Report Meeting hosted by the Disaster Prevention Academic Consortium.
