平山准教授は，2022年9月13日，地震工学委員会 JSCE2020 防災プロジェクト推進小委員会（オンライン）において，廃棄物分野の最悪の事態「ワークショップ」報告として，南海トラフ巨大地震，首都直下地震での災害廃棄物に関する最悪の事態，背景，要因，実施すべき対策について話題提供を行った。
Assoc. Prof. Hirayama made a presentation on the worst-case scenario, background, factors, and actions to be taken for disaster debris in the Nankai Trough mega earthquake and the earthquake in the Tokyo metropolitan area as a report of the “Workshop” on the worst-case scenario in the waste field at the JSCE2020 Disaster Prevention Project Promotion Subcommittee (online) of the Committee on Earthquake Engineering on September 13, 2022.
